Man Of Action - Paul Riedesel
Paul Riedesel, President of Action Marketing Research, is a 30-year veteran of the marketing research industry.
As an internal consultant with The Pillsbury Company in the early '80s (Action in three-piece suits), Paul handled new product sales forecasting from basic concept testing through full-fledged test markets. Since 1984, he has worked on the supplier side, and has directed literally hundreds of surveys for a wide variety of clients. They have included many Fortune 1000™ corporations; smaller companies who are leaders in their fields; advertising agencies; and independent marketing and branding consultants.
For several years, Paul Riedesel saw action in the field of academia on the adjunct faculty of the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. He taught marketing research and advanced marketing statistics at the graduate level, as well as undergraduate marketing research and statistics. He has been a speaker at professional conferences of the American Marketing Association, the Marketing Research Association, the Professional Pricing Society, and the Institute for International Research. Following completion of his PhD at the University of Nebraska at the age of 24, Riedesel was a full-time member of the sociology faculty at the University of Tulsa for several years. He has authored numerous articles in academic, trade, and historical publications.
As a Man of Action, Riedesel is also an avocational musician, alternating between Martin guitars and German classical songs.
